MatadorES No. 72, Splash captures a moment between surrender and awakening. Daniel Jaems uses the language of male nude fine art photography to blur the lines between body and air, motion and stillness. The transparent veil behaves like water frozen mid-crash, revealing the sculptural anatomy beneath it without entirely giving it away. The piece moves with a strange calm, where light seems to ripple across the skin like reflection. Within MatadorES, Splash becomes a metaphor for the body’s dialogue with energy—caught, shaped, and momentarily suspended. The figure is powerful but unguarded, a study in the instant before awareness returns.
